This is a brilliant post fizzing with great ideas 💡 I love this time of year, with so many occasions and feast days to help us rediscover ourselves and be renewed - Lent, the first day of spring, St Joseph, The Annunciation. I really don’t need another project but perhaps I need to consider The Artist’s Way 🤔
If you're already busy, I wouldn't recommend going straigth to The Artist's Way because it's a lot to digest. But I couldn't recommend more the Morning Pages practice. If writing 3 pages is too much, you can start with an easier form of daily journaling - for that, the Substack "With Ease" of Tanya Lynch is a great resource. I also love the Artist's Date concept but find it harder to maintain on a regular basis.
I don’t journal every day but when I do I find I naturally fill at least a page, agree it’s a great practice. I save up journalling prompts that I find on here
Learning through trying is my way to go too, so here with you! It involves a few unexpected bumps and failures along the way but I think it makes the journey even more interesting 😉
Thank you Kim! I don't play any music myself - though I secretly wish I could play the saxophone one day - but I can't spend a single day without listening to music, so I wanted to bring some of that in that space ;)
Ooooh I love this realisation and contemplation! And listening to the harmony was magical… what amazing art! I’ve definitely held myself back at times but I feel more trusting as I grow into myself. Thank you for planting this in my awareness xx

Beautiful post and I couldn't agree more! Thank you for bringing this perspective through the magic of music and writing. 🎶🥰✍🏼

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Lauren, I’m glad it resonated with you too. I feel us creatives are easily prone to doubting ourselves.
Thank you for this, and I loved listening to the Corsican polyphonic harmony, just stunning x
Thank you Louise, I’m happy you enjoyed it. I usually don’t think of recording but this time, I don’t know why, I felt compelled to do it. If you enjoy the harmony there’s also another recording of the Corsican ‘national anthem’ at the end of this: one https://sipofcorsica.substack.com/p/a-french-island-with-an-italian-accent?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
