Oh gosh I can see why you have such a deep love for this land… the beauty in your images and the poetic words she summons from you. I’ve never been to Corsica but I feel magnetised to her after reading this. Can’t wait to learn more and feel like I’m definitely meant to visit one day. It’s always the mountains for me too xxxx

Oh, thank you Lauren for these words. I’m so happy to read that my images and words somehow transported you there. If you love mountains, you can find a few more pictures in my essay called ‘Embracing the ebbs and flows’ : https://open.substack.com/pub/sipofcorsica/p/embracing-the-ebbs-and-flows?r=22f2hi&utm_medium=ios

Your writing and your photos are gorgeous! I especially like the description of winter there - the slow season of a place is always intriguing to me.

Thank you Kim! Slow season in Corsica, especially winter, is very different from the look & feel of summer. But at the same time, it’s more authentic. For instance most of the famous Corsican dishes are actually winter dishes.

Corsica sounds magical! I regret that I didn’t visit during the 6 years I lived in Paris but I suppose it’s never too late. This lovely piece definitely makes me want to go!

Oh I’m glad it made you want to go! Corsica is really one of these hidden gems and for me, not enough people hear about it. From Paris, it would have been indeed quite easy as there are several flights, almost everyday. Where are you living now Ramya? It’s never too late 😉
